Yemen, USAID discuss educational cooperation

Minister of Education Abdul Salam al-Jawfi met IN Sana’a Sunday the visiting
Cairo-based director general of the US Agency for International Development USAID David Barth. The meeting discussed the positive outcomes of the USAID-funded educational programs in the country particularly those aimed to improve the quality of education. The pair stressed the importance of raising aid to implement more education programs in Yemen within the national strategy for primary education. Al-Jawfi praised the US support for education in Yemen, hoping the US will further cooperation in this area.
