In his speech on Tuesday in Riyadh at the Conference of the Arabian Gulf and Regional Challenges, he said that “the crisis caused by Houthis in Yemen complicates the situation since they exploited the security situations trying to attract supporters in order to fail the political transition process in the country to reach the power.”

“It is a fertile ground to allow foreign parties to intervene in order ot base themselves in the region and lead the conflict in a way achieving their interests,” he added.

Al-Qarqash emphasized the importance of the international community to play their role in a responsible way to settle stability in Yemen, in addition to the GCC states to have a dynamic and active role to protect Yemen’s stability.

He signaled that the challenge represented by terror extends from Yemen to Egypt, Libya and north Africa, affirming the importance of a clear and comprehensive strategy to confront terror since it is not only “Da’ish” but also many organizations which are rampant in the Arabian region.
