Yemen to present 10 marine areas for exploration

Minister of Oil and Minerals Khaled Mahfouz Bahah said that Yemen
intends to put licenses for oil and gas exploration in ten marine areas
on international companies in the third quarter of this year.
Bahah in an interview with Reuters said that the licensing round, which is the fourth posed by Yemen already attracted the attention of Canadian Nexen, Norwegian Statoil and American Occidental companies.
"Yemen intends bidding for the modernization of local two refineries in the next year", the minister added.
