Yemen to partake in WB’s meetings to discuss stalled projects

Yemen is to participate in the World Bank’s meetings to be held in Washington during (Feb.27-March 9) to discuss the stalled projects in the field of water and environment.
Minister of Water and Environment Abdu Saleh Razaz, who headed to Washington Monday with a accompanying delegation , told Saba that the meetings will discuss a number of topics related to the WB-funded projects worth $ 39 million, which are stalled and others still under implementation, to agree with the Bank to lift the suspension.
He added that he will discuss with the Bank raising the ceiling of support allocated to the water and sanitation projects and supporting the training and rehabilitation program, as well as discussing the desalination projects in the provinces of Taiz, Aden and Mahrah.
