The Yemeni side in the Yemeni-Kuwaiti technical committee for oil and minerals met on Wednesday in Kuwait with Secretary-General of Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC) Abbas al-Naqi.

At the meeting, Undersecretary of Oil and Minerals Ministry Shawqi al-Mekhlafi, who heads the Yemeni side in the Yemeni-Kuwaiti technical committee, pointed to the importance of the OAPEC's support for Yemen's attendance in the events and conferences organized by the organization, so as to contribute the promotion of the investment opportunities in the oil and gas field in Yemen.

For his part, al-Naqi expressed the OAPEC's readiness to cooperate with Yemen in all events and forums organized by the organization.
