In the meeting, Ba-fakih and Giordano discussed the Ministry's need to set up an information system identify the numbers of Yemeni expatriates, the country they are living in and their qualifications. They also touched upon the negative impact of illegal migrations on Yemen at the social, political, security levels.

The Minister affirmed the Ministry will develop emergency plans and future programs to deal with changes may be adopted in the labor systems in any country Yemeni expatriates are living in.

The IOM official affirmed the importance of the Ministry's projects, stressing that the Organization's readiness to cooperate with Ministry to carry out them.
