The agreements worth over €42 million were signed by Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Mohammed al-Sa'adi and German ambassador to Yemen Holger Green.

Under the agreements, Germany appropriated €12 million for supporting water projects, particularly in Abyan province, and €5 million as a contribution to financing a project of creating job opportunities.

They also includes providing logistic and technical assistance of €25.45 million dedicated for upgrading the Integrated Water Resources Management, General Education Improvement Program (GEIP), technical and vocational education improvement programs, food security and improving private sector institutions, in addition to supporting good governance and the ongoing political transition in the country.
