Under the slogan "An Artistic Vision with a Creative Touch," Seiyun University inaugurated a creative exhibition showcasing the artistic talents of its female students.

Under the patronage of the President of Seiyun University, Professor Dr. Mohammed Ashour Al-Kathiri, and the Vice President for Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Omar Aboud Aqilan, the Student Arts and Creativity Exhibition was opened on Sunday morning, May 17, 2026. The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Sahel Habshi Abo Fotaim, Director of the Media and Educational Technology Department at the Ministry of Education Office in Wadi Hadramawt and the desert region.
The opening coincided with the closing ceremony and the distribution of awards to outstanding participants in the University Student Week competitions for the 2025-2026 academic year.
The exhibition witnessed a large turnout and wide participation from the university's female students. The diverse exhibits reflected a high level of creativity and innovation in artistic, cultural, and scientific fields, including handicrafts, paintings, sculptures, educational materials, student projects and innovations, as well as heritage and cultural displays that embodied the Hadrami identity and the spirit of youthful creativity.
During their tour of the exhibition, the visitors, accompanied by the Vice Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Najiba Meyad, the Vice Dean of Academic Affairs and Graduate Studies, Dr. Yahya Amin Tayeb, and the heads of academic departments, viewed the outstanding projects presented by the students. They commended the high level of performance demonstrated by the participants and the promising abilities and skills that deserved support and encouragement.
The Vice President of Student Affairs at Seiyun University emphasized the university's strong commitment to student activities and extracurricular programs, recognizing their pivotal role in shaping students' character and fostering creativity, initiative, and teamwork. He conveyed the university leadership's greetings and appreciation to the college's deanship and organizing committees for their efforts in making this exceptional event a success.
Dr. Najiba Meyad explained that the Women's College is committed to providing a stimulating learning environment and supportive activities that contribute to discovering students' talents and developing their scientific, cultural, and artistic abilities. She praised the valuable contributions made by the students during University Women's Week.
Professor Sahel Abo Fotaim expressed his admiration for the innovative ideas and outstanding educational tools displayed at the exhibition, emphasizing that these works represent a valuable resource for the educational process, contributing to the simplification of academic concepts and the promotion of modern learning methods.
Following the exhibition's opening, the closing ceremony commenced, featuring a variety of cultural, artistic, and musical performances, as well as poetry readings. Distinguished contributions from Ammar Bin Yasser School added to the festive atmosphere. At the conclusion of the event, students who won and participated in the 2025-2026 University Student Week competitions were honored. These competitions included a Quran recitation contest, cultural quizzes, and various sports, artistic, and creative activities. Several individuals and organizations that supported and contributed to the success of the college's activities were also recognized. The ceremony was held in a celebratory atmosphere that reflected a spirit of excellence, creativity, and teamwork.
