The two matches have been played simultaneously in different venues. At al-Whidah Stadium in Abyan governorate, Iraq managed to hold the second position after holding to Oman to 0 – 0 draw.
In the other match, UAE football team defeated Bahrain 3 – 1 in the May 22 stadium in Aden governorate, that gave UAE the lead in the Group B.
In the Group A, Kuwait qualified first of the group and Saudi second. Qatar ended up with third in the group and Yemen fourth.
On Thursday, Kuwait will take on Iraq, while UAE will face Saudi Arabia to determine the qualifiers to the final of the 20th Gulf Cup.
