The Jordanian Finance Minister Suleiman Hafez in an opening speech to the conference ,the importance of regular meetings held by the Union and its effective role in creating sophisticated tax departments up to date and modernity in the application of legislation and procedures and methods applicable in these departments.

He added that these meetings are also working on activating the exchange of experiences between tax administrations make an active contribution in taking useful of these meetings that are held to experts in the field of taxation.

Hafiz said that tax revenues have become in many countries of the most important sources of supplying Treasury funds, and enables different countries of the delivery of public services in the areas of security, health, education and infrastructure construction, social services and other services provided to citizens.

He considered that one of the most important elements of raising the efficiency of tax administrations is activating its relationship with taxpayers by simplifying and reducing administrative procedures ,in addition to providing physical equipment and the development of information systems, and provide a data base, and the need to activate the e-governance in order to achieve the speed and accuracy in completing the tasks and operations within the tax administration.
