The study indicated that the overall bill for oil derivatives support reached $ 24 billion during 2000 – 2013.
It revealed that around 35% of the government oil derivatives support is benefitted by 20% of the Yemeni families with high income levels while 10% only of the low-income families made use of this support.
The study affirmed that most of the government support for oil derivatives goes for un-poor families which imposes lifting this support and changing into oriented support policy for the poor and worthy categories.
