The Presidential decree No. (62) for the year 2014 was issued on Saturday appointing Staff Colonel Zakaria Mohammed al-Shami as a deputy Chief of Staff, and that he is upgraded to the rank of a Major General in the armed forces.
Another Presidential decree No. (63) for the year 2014 was also issued on Saturday appointing Staff Major General Abdul-Bari Abdul-Rahman al-Shamiri as a General Inspector for the Armed Forces.
The decrees state the two appointments are effective from the date of issuance.
