President Ali Abdullah Saleh met here on Monday in Paris with French foreign minister Bernard Kouchner.

They discussed mutual cooperation relations and joint cooperation fields and regional and international developments, especially the situations in Palestine, Iraq, Lebanon, Somalia, Darfur of Sudan, in addition to war on terrorism.

French minister hailed the level of Yemeni-French relations, describing them as "strong friendly relations".

French minister confirmed his country's interest to strengthen relations with Yemen in various levels, pointing that president Saleh's visit would push forward the two countries to more cooperation.

President Saleh welcomed the French investments in Yemen and confirmed they will get all support and interest.
