President Abdo Rabbu Mansour Hadi chaired on Wednesday the first
meeting of the commission charged with determining the number of regions
to begin the practical implementation of the commission’ s function.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Abdul-Karim al-Eryani and Khaled
Abu Bakr Barras were selected as deputies Chairman of the commission.
President Hadi said that this meeting is the first task of implementing the outputs of the national dialogue conference (NDC) as practical steps towards the actual implementation of NDC outputs, pointing out that a federal system is a modern system in the world and they use it to adjust the administrative, developmental and economic process as well as working away from the centralization in order to share the responsibility, resources and power.
“This system is the best and the most appropriate to maintain the Yemeni unity which will be maintained. There will be no prejudice to the Yemeni unity as long as I am on the power", the president said.
“Centralization had disastrous effects on interests of the people, development and investment. Today we have a new system to take advantage of experiences of others and take the modern scientific methods to keep up with the twenty-first century.” Hadi added.
