Police thwart attempt of smuggling historical manuscripts

manuscripts and other antiquities which were in custody of a Yemeni lady while she was fighting to Qatar.
According to the director of General Organization for Antiquities and Museums at the airport Ali al-Mahsini, the manuscripts dated back to the Islamic age.
Al-Mahsini praised efforts of the police at the airport to thwart this attempt.
The lady has been sent to the prosecution for investigations, security director of the airport Hafaz al-Jamarh said.
He added that the initial investigation showed that the lady has collected these manuscripts since 2006 and bought them with more than 8000 dollar.
