Scientific Symposium started on Wednesday discussed marriage
topic, its conditions and responsibilities resulted in.
Organized by Ministry of Social and Labor Affairs in cooperation with the Supreme Council for Maternity and Childhood, the symposium aims at presenting marriage, conditions, and responsibilities resulted in from scientific prospective.
The symposium which coincides celebration of Arab Family Day, includes work papers presented by Yemen and some participating countries. Yemen's two work papers included two studies on early marriage in Yemen, its reasons and effects on girls' physical and sentimental growth. They include also effects and relation of early marriage with human rights and violation of girl's education right and violence against woman.
The papers discussed mechanisms concerning delaying marriage age and means of correcting false conceptions concerning religious attitude as well as social and cultural conceptions and taking care of legislative laws defining marriage age.
The second study discussed issue woman's participation decision-making on family and social level, important role of woman inside the family and most important social and economic changes in her participation in decision-making.
The study reviewed obstacles of woman's participation in decision making, showing that the gab still big between what laws and legislations approve of equal rights to the two sexes in different fields.
In addition, a work paper presented by Arab Family Organization over marriage, conditions for getting marriage and responsibilities resulted in marriage. Another work paper presented Egyptian National Council for Childhood and Maternity on marriage conceptive dimension of marriage and related problems.
