President of the exploration and production of oil authority Dr Ahmed Ali Abdullah has on Thursday announced about two discoveries of oil in Hadramout and Shabwa, east Yemen and preliminary discoveries of gas in the eastern basin of Jeiza in Al-Mahara province

On the occasion of signing his new book titled “ Petroleum and Development I n Yemen “ in Sana’a on Thursday , Dr Abdullah said that Yemen possesses great oil and gas riches , more than we imagine and most of the land and the submerged areas are not discovered yet.
Dr Abdullah also drew the attention that most of the basins and sea areas in Yemen are not discovered and the geological structure in the Gulf of Aden and the Red sea are similar to most of the sea areas of the world and their indicators refer to existence of oil and gas reserves.
