The Ministry of Fisheries Wealth is carrying out in the Socotra archipelago a number of service projects in the field of fisheries sector at a cost of 500.8 million riyals.

Awad al-Socotri explained to Saba that the interest in the Socotra archipelago comes under the attention of the political leadership represented by President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi, in the archipelago and declaring it a province.

The Minister affirmed the importance of the projects and their role in strengthening the infrastructure of the fish sector which is one of the most promising sectors in building the national economy ,stressing the need to complete the rest of the projects that have not been completed within the specified time period in accordance with the specifications and standards agreed.

He pointed out that the political leadership and the Government give all the support and attention to Socotra archipelago and work to facilitate all the difficulties facing the process of development in the archipelago .
