KSrelief Center announced about extending the contract of the Demining
Project in Yemen (MASAM) for one year with total amount $33 million and
292 thousands.
MASAM started its demining mission in Yemen in 2018, it has managed to pull out 346 thousand and 570 landmines planted by Iran-backed Houthi militiamen in different Yemeni regions.
According human rights report published last April Houthis-laid landmines killed 2,818 civilians and injured 3,655 others during the period from April 2014 to March 2022 in 17 governorates.
