The truce committee in Taiz governorate approved on Saturday an immediate and final ceasefire as from 2 p.m.
Chaired by Taiz governor Hamoud al-Sufi and in the presence of the all Joint Meeting Parties (JMP) members, the Committee agreed also to withdraw armed men from all locations in the governorate in accordance with a timeframe to be set soon.
The move came after Vice President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi ordered on Friday Taiz governor and JMP leaders to quickly cease fire in the city of Taiz and form a joint committee to immediately withdraw the government troops and opposition militia.
