The increased supply of durable goods orders last month by U.S. and house prices recorded the largest annual increase over a six-and-a-half years in January, predicts that the U.S. economy has regained momentum early in the first quarter of the year.
However, the rise was limited because of mounting concerns about the euro zone.
Brent crude rose 16 cents to 109.52 dollars per barrel after rising for the third day in a row in the previous session.
U.S. crude fell 54 cents to 95.80 dollars after they closed up $ 1.53.
