The General Assembly of the World Health Organization elected on Thursday Yemen's Minister for Public Health and Population Abdul Karim Rasa'a to its Executive Board.
The nomination took place during the meeting of the assembly in Geneva.
The Executive Board of the WHO is responsible for drawing up the general policies of the organization and electing its general director as well as presenting the annual plan for the general assembly.
