In his meeting  today with the  Station General  Manager, Mr Abdallah Salim Alwan, explaining   the   current thirteen local  projects being implemented by the station that  aimed at improving field crops and the introduction of new varieties of high productivity and good quality. The Undersecretary  was briefed on   the results of the implementation of the aimed to   improve and develop  the work of agriculture in Wadi Hadhramout. technological package to increase the productivity of wheat  within the unit area, that increased productivity of  Wadi Hadramout during the past two seasons to 19 thousend  and 900 hundred tons, compared with nine tons for the period prior to the implementation of the package.
Mr. Omaeir  accompanied by the Director of  the agricultural research station, Dr. Alwan  was shown around the new building that will occoupy the  station at the same time  listening to the nature of  work going in the  sections, that  include research laboratories and departments working in different disciplines .. Also came to  know the problems  that hindered the  implementation of the laboratory for  cultivating   palm tissue that  targets palm tissue propagation of rare items.
