The draw resulted in the selection of two groups as follows:
Group1: Yemen, Kuwait, Qatar and Saudi Arabia,
Group2: Oman, Iraq, UAE and Bahrain.
In the draw ceremony, Minister of Youth and Sports Hamoud Ubad affirmed that Yemen has achieved all requirements of this important football event with regard to sport venues, housing and organizational plans.President of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Mohammed bin Hamam, in his turn, expressed satisfaction and pleasure with Yemen hosting this sports event, urging for more such sport activities.
