Economic Committee calls for limiting use of banknotes to reduce Corona risks

The Economic Committee praised, in a statement, the decisions and precautionary measures taken by the Higher Committee for Epidemics Control, with the aim of confronting the Corona virus, which was classified as a global epidemic by the World Health Organization (WHO).
The Committee confirmed that Yemen has made great strides in the field of electronic cash, and has possessed advanced cash circulation methods and an effective electronic control system with 100 per cent cash coverage under the supervision and oversight of the Central Bank of Yemen.
