Cuba has called on the international community to stand by Yemen in the fight against terrorism and piracy gangs


  This came during a meeting gathered on Tuesday the Speaker of the Cuban Parliament Ricardo Alarcon and the Yemeni newly-appointed ambassador to Cuba Yahya al-Syaghi.
The Cuban official confirmed his country's support to Yemen in all international and regional forums to face the campaigns that target Yemen's security, stability and unity, and to defend its national gains at all levels, topped by its unity and its war against terrorism, which does not target Yemen's security alone, but the whole world.He praised the distinguished Yemeni-Cuban relations in all areas, wishing that all political forces in the Yemeni arena stay away from political wrangles in order to progress towards the democratic approach chosen by the Yemeni people on May 22, 1990.For his part, the Yemeni ambassador pointed out that Yemen continues to consolidate unity and democratic and constitutional approach, stressing that the national interest above everything else.The Yemeni ambassador conveyed a verbal message from the Speaker of the Parliament Yahya al-Rae'i to his Cuban counterpart, in which al-Rae'I wished further progression and development for the relations between the two countries, especially in the parliamentary field
