China and Taiwan tourists visit archaeological sites of Marib

A group of 32 Chinese and Taiwan tourists has visited historical features and
archaeological sites of Marib province.
During the visit to a number of the archaeological sites in the province, the tourist group expressed deep happiness to see unique and historic milestones of several archaeological sites in Marib.
Meanwhile, deputy director-general of the Tourism Office in Marib Yasser al-Aghbari said on Friday that the activities of tourism in Marib have been recovering from recession enforced by terrorism and kidnapping.
Al-Aghbari pointed out that the new year 2009 would become a year of tourism in Marib, especially preparations are ongoing to hold a tourism festival at Ramlat Al Sabatin desert next February in participation of the provinces of Marib, Jawf, Shabwa and Hadramout.
