During the meeting, al-Ashwal and Jadallah discussed the latest developments in the national scene and regional and international efforts to succeed the political process and support Yemen to tackle its impasses.

Al-Ashwal said that the Defense Ministry and the presidency of the General Staff would fully cooperate with the UN team to facilitate its mission in order for supporting the political process and complete the requirements of the transitional phase in the light of the GCC-brokered deal and the relevant UN Security Council resolutions.

For her part, Jadallah expressed her thanks to the cooperation shown by the political leadership and the Yemeni government to accomplish the PoE's tasks, stressing the importance of strengthening the bilateral cooperation between Yemen and the Security Council's States to combat terrorism.
