Cabinet approves 2014 budget draft

During the meeting chaired by Prime Minister Mohammed Salem Basnidwa,
the cabinet referred the budget draft to the parliament to finalize the
required constitutional measures before the final approval.
The draft showed that the 2014 approved budget was estimated at YR2,883,532,192,000 which is slightly more than the 2013 budget of YR 2,766,998,985,000.
According to the draft, the expected deficit of 2014 is to exceed YR 0.7 trillion (YR 679,264,647,000) compared to nearly YR 0.6 trillion (YR682,787,340,000) in 2013.
