Oil and Minerals Minister Khalid Mahfoud Bahah has said that meetings of Yemen Liquefied Natural Gas Company have been held in the French capital Parisapproved that Safer company is a key gas operator of the block 18.

Upon his back home, Bahah told Saba that the opening of the gas project would be by the end of 2008 and that efforts being exerted to open it on time.

Bahah said that the Paris meeting has reviewed developments and achievements on the liquefied natural gas project.

Bahah pointed that he had attended the international show of minerals held in the German city of Nuremberg on June 06-09 and that the Yemeni show of raw materials was successful.

"In Germany, we have agreed with a number of German investors to hold a workshop on the oil field in Yemen next October", said Bahah.
