Austrian OMV to invest in Yemen oil sector

The Ministry of Oil and Minerals and Austrian energy group (OMV) signed on Wednesday a production sharing contract for the Block 86.
Upon the contract, the OMV will spend $5 million on exploration operations in coordination with the Petroleum Exploration and Production Authority.
The contract is the first after the events took place in Yemen over 2011, reflecting on the return of foreign companies to invest in Yemen.
