At the opening of the seminar,  Hadhramout Deputy Governor for coastal districts Affairs Me.  Awadh Abdullah Hatem stressed on  importance of  raising  awareness of  the intellectual property rights, particularly in commercial and industrial side. He pointed  out that the holding of such activities and specialized courses for professionals contribute to the protection of intellectual property rights and the creation of consensual relations between the various actors competent, calling to benefit from successful experiences in the protection of intellectual property rights.The workshop discussed a number of working papers that spelled out the concept of intellectual property rights.   Also the importance in maintaining the industrial output, and the role of the Bureau of Industry in the supervision and control over the regulation and licensing of registered trademarks and the importance of involving the private sector to participate in the protection of intellectual property rights.
